At Ca’ de Mocenigo, 1994 was an excellent year for wine.

That year, we purchased some oak barrels and, full of good intentions, we set aside a good deal of wine to age inside.

The results are right here before your eyes and your senses.

First note the captivating colour: ruby red like a fully ripe cherry. The aroma should be enjoyed again and again, a first, second and third time. Each time, new scents will emerge, from bell peppers to berries, from dried prunes to vanilla. Abundant and rich fragrances, pleasant and engrossing.

The flavour makes us long for meat, any kind of meat, either raw or cooked, but ideal would be boiled meat or game.
