THE FARM

The Ca' de Mocenigo farm is located in Caneva, an area sheltered by the hills that act as a watershed between the ancient land of Friuli and the joyful Treviso march lands, in the Alto Livenza region.

The hills of Caneva have alluvial origins and are made up of a predominantly clayey-crumbly soil.
This soil produces limited but high quality specific yields and it is here where the most sought after wines in the territory are made.

In addition to the optimal composition of the soil, the vinyards of Caneva enjoy a singular "microclimate" owing to their proximity to the Bosco del Cansiglio. This forest (the third largest for surface area in Italy, with its altitude of over 1000 meters, protects the area from the cold Northern winds and creates constant natural ventilation, with significant differences in night time and day time temperatures.

These factors, allow us to obtain high quality grapes and wines with unmistakable flavours.
